Hanko Front Museum was founded in 1981 and has over the years developed into a versatile museum with much to see and experience. The museum has been closed for renovation in 2016. The renewed museum was opened to the public on June 4, 2017.


Hanko Front Museum offers much to experience:

  • The renewed permanent exhibition "Hanko in foreign hands"

  • The Cannon Hall with many guns and artillery pieces

  • The War Path - about 1.5 km long footpath

  • The dugout "Golden Peace"

  • The new conference hall is suitable for meetings and seminars!

  • The Canteen offers both salty and sweet with your coffee

  • By separate agreement, visit the bunker Irma in Harparskog


The museum is open from Sunday, June 4 to Sunday, September 3, daily from 11am to 6pm.

From early September until Sunday, December 17, the museum is open Sat-Sun from noon to 5pm.

Other times by appointment.

For groups over 20 persons 5 € / person

Free admission for veterans and veteran widows as well as for conscripts in uniform and children under 16 years.
